We offer 30 minutes trial lessons at half the original lesson cost. You can sign-up for as many as 5 trial lessons a year
Booking your lesson just got a lot simpler. Start by browsing the educator profile: View their ratings, self-intro videos. Then select your preferred timing and book the lesson at one hour slots at a time
Lessons can be cancelled and rescheduled from one educator to another. If valid, refunds will be made via in-platform dollar-amout credits (expires after 2 months).
All lessons are conducted via the browser. No other third-party apps needs to be installed.
Each lesson is 1 hour long, with a hard cut off at the 60th minute mark. Prompts will be announced 15, 10 and 5 minutes before the lesson ends. There will be a 5 minute buffer where the lesson typically stops at 55 minutes where the remaining 5 minutes is to gather feedback, prepare for the next lesson and other adminstrative matters (or: It is recommended to wrap up the lesson at the 55th minute mark so that both the student and educator are able to conclude the lesson, prepare for the next lesson and provide any other feedback if needed.
Age: 18 and up.
Students under 16 require parental consent. Parents are responsible for supervising young children during lessons. Account holders must be 18+ (parents). Parent consent is obtained by SingPass or a formal confirmation via email.
Minimum education requirement: A-Levels. Age: 18 and up. Mandatory background check completion. Right to request additional verification documents. False credentials result in immediate account termination.

Conditions for account suspension or termination. Providing false information with the intent to mislead, cheat or harm others. False declaration of past, recent or current criminal case in relation to child abuse and related actions. Taking users out of the platform, exposing users to reduced safety and zero monitoring. Exchange of contact information resulting in weakening safety protocols. Harmful actions such as: Vulgarities, harmful body langage, negative words (i.e. stupid, dumb) and others. If any of the above are identified, users have 2 weeks to rectify the account suspension.
History of your lessons, timing and payments can be seen in your profile. Historical invoices and transactions can be downloaded as well.
Data is kept secure and not shared with third parties. We protect it via encryption and on a trusted server. Financial matters: GoBrainly does not store any billing information, ensuring an extra layer of security for your payment details.
All payments are processed through secure payment gateways. We do not store or share your credit card information, securing your payment method further.
Background checks conducted on all educators, including self-declaring documentation. Monitoring of inappropriate language/suggestions. Use of AI-powered behavioral analysis to detect concerning patterns. Exchange of user contact information is prohibited. Recording of all sessions that expires after 24 hours.
Our safety protocols are designed to protect all 3 parties: Students, parents and educators. Our active monitoring protects all users and ensures that services are rendered properly and on time.
Public vs. Private Information. Only the information you choose to display on your profile page is visible to the public. Everything else, such as your personal details, are encrypted and stored securely. Therefore, exchange of personal contact information is prohibited to keep your personal life private. Sharing of personal information / Platform Rules / Restriction on sharing personal information. No sharing of the following: personal contact information (e.g. home address, hand phone number, email address, etc).
Guidelines regarding disputes. - Punctuality and no-show. - Abuse (verbal, harrassment, etc). - Teaching/learning quality. - Technology issues (e.g. preparedness, etc). - Payment.
Within 24 hours of lesson start time: Disputes can be filed. After 24 hours of lesson start time: Disputes not applicable. Disputes will be decided based on lesson recording and post-lesson feedback by both student/parent and educator parties.
Behaviour dispute. Requirements: - Speech to TEXT analysis detects the key words. Example: Embarrass/Humiation (e.g. Annoying, why can't you understand, this is really simple), Vulgarities (e.g. Fuck, asshole, bitch), Privacy (e.g. what's your number, contact me outside, etc), Criminal (e.g. Pretty, handsome, cute), etc. Behaviour tracking via AI (i.e. Eye rolling, middle finger, etc).
Lesson quality dispute. Requirements: - Silence: Kept silent though at least 75% of the lesson. -Content/materials: Shared different materials and topics not aligned to the subject at hand, etc. - Requestor: Student only.

Requirements and assessment: - No show defined as no appearance after 15 minutes from start time. - Waivers: Applicable if either party is able to submit evidence explaining no show. i.e. Medical illness certificate, accident, etc within 12 hours from the start time of the lesson. - Earning potential depends entirely on your hours taught, rates and how effective you are. - Earnings varies from educator to educator We will not reveal the average earnings, however, to have a rough gauge: - Gross earnings: $30/hour - Medium hours: 11 hours a week (1 hour per weekday and 3 hours per weekend) - Total weekly gross earnings: $330 weekly or $1,320, without leaving home and without having to actively advertise

- Educators receive 75% of all lesson earnings, before GST. After GST (9% Singapore GST), your effective rate is: 68.25% - We are a GST registered company and GST is applicable on the service rendered - Our fee is calculated as 25% of the total lesson payment (before any rebates, etc) Note: We do not charge a monthly subscription as this would mean high cost for the first few months when you are building your page and profile without earnings.
Requesting a Payout - Withdrawal fee of $2 per withdrawal, regardless of amount - No other hidden fees
- Minimum price: $5 - Maximum price: $500 - Price changes: In multiples of $5 Internal only: This lowers the chances of educators from engaging in psychological pricing that undermines/negatively influences students from making the best choice as Student are likely to be motivated by price rather than quality, suitability, and educator fit.
Trial lesson / Introductory rate - Lesson duration: 30 minutes. - Lesson price: 50% of original price. - Platform fee applies on the price of the lesson. - Students can only choose up to a maximum of 5 trial lessons per year.
